SERVICE - Parts Manager - August 2019

You will be responsible for the development of Manitou’s complete range of spare parts for Manitou Oceanian dealers and the new Manitou Center Sydney. The role is 50%  parts interpreting and 50% organisation process definition, implementation/reporting and sales.

Main duties listed below:

  • Taking customer parts and inquiries (primarily telephone, internet, or in person)
  • Interpret parts queries from a computer based parts program  to supply the appropriate parts
  • Processing and invoicing parts orders & manager customer & supplier back orders
  • Where required sourcing local suppliers and determining parts pricing
  • Review performance data, coordinate financial & budget activities,  suppliers local and overseas
  • Plan and implement department policies and procedures to maximize operating efficiency
  • Develop and maintain effective Parts Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction
  • Develop turnover through sales and marketing initiatives.

SERVICE - Workshop Technicians - MAY 2019

The Workshop Technician’s main role will be to undertake repairs and maintain equipment such as elevating work platforms, telescopic handlers, skid steers, and forklifts.  

Main duties listed below.

  • Undertake pre-delivery inspections and modification on new machine.
  • Observes mechanical devices in operation according to manufacturer requirements &. Performs diagnostic procedures to locate causes of faults.
  • Installs & repairs electrical apparatus, such as EWP wiring and associated components. Including adjustment & repair of electronic components such as PCB control cards.
  • Calibrates equipment using electronic aids & procedures & programmable controllers.
  • Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
  • Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
  • Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
  • Repairs or replaces defective parts & components.
  • Installs special functional and structural parts in devices & equipment.
  • Use Manitou systems and tools to log job status, report, consult documentation, escalate issues… etc
  • Pride in your work and presentation.

The successful applicants will :

  • Must have a one year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Work experience in customer support
  • Forklift licence desirable
  • Current drivers license an advantage
  • Current EWP High Risk License an advantage
  • Telehandler Gold Card an advantage.

LOCATION – SYDNEY

    SERVICE - Parts Interpreter - JULY 2019

    The Parts Interpreter is to act as the principal point of contact for internal service teams and customers sourcing spare parts for Manitou’s complete range of products.

    Main responsibilities:

    • Manage Customers and internal (Sales, Workshop, Field Service) inquiries by responding efficiently to the front counter, phone and internet inquiries
    • Interpret parts queries from a computer-based parts program to supply the appropriate parts
    • Processing internal and end-customers orders
    • Invoicing parts orders
    • Follow up customers backorders
    • Proactively communicate with customers regarding their order status, inquiries or any issues.
    • Ordering spare parts both local and overseas
    • Receipting of spare parts orders from local and overseas suppliers
    • Follow up any parts short shipped with suppliers local and overseas
    • Promote Spare Parts & Attachments
    • Build Customer relationships
    • Participate in picking, packing and despatching parts orders if required
    • Participate in unloading containers as required
    • Annual stocktakes

    Transversal projects and innovation

    • Where required, participate in transversal projects to support the development of Manitou activity
    • Propose and Innovate on targeted actions to bring more added value to our customers

     The Person:

    • Capable of using various computing tools
