MANITOU CENTER SYDNEY: Sales Representative - SALES

 

Position Overview

The Sales Representative is a key position on developing sales in the Manitou Center. The key objective is to achieve maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within an assigned territory and/or market segment by effectively offering the company’s products and/or related services. Personally contact and secure new business accounts/customers.

This position reports directly to the Manitou Centre Manager.

This position is all about a partnership that will benefit the growth of your career and the Manitou Center Sydney.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Contact and maintain contact in person an electronically with new and existing customers to build a business relationship that generates sales in line with KPI’s set by the Center Manager.
    • Maintain accurate customer and prospect records of all visits, contacts and quotes in the CRM system.
    • Outbound prospect new customers within your designated sales territory or where instructed using a range of sales techniques including cold calling, referral, networking to obtain sales opportunities.
    • Actively promote the full services and products offered by Manitou Center.
    • Demonstrate New and Used equipment to prospects effectively to maximise the potential of concluding a sale.

    MANITOU CENTER SYDNEY: Workshop Technicians - SERVICE

     

    Position Overview

    The Workshop Technician’s  main role will be to undertake repairs and maintain equipment such as elevating work platforms, telescopic handlers, skid steers and forklifts.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Undertake pre-delivery inspections and modification on new machine.

    • Observes mechanical devices in operation according to manufacturer requirements &. Performs diagnostic procedures to locate causes of faults.

    • Installs & repairs electrical apparatus, such as EWP wiring and associated components. Including adjustment & repair of electronic components such as PCB control cards.

    • Calibrates equipment using electronic aids & procedures & programmable controllers.

    • Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.

    • Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.

    • Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.

    • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.

    • Repairs or replaces defective parts & components.

    • Installs special functional and structural parts in devices & equipment.

    • Use Manitou systems and tools to log job status, report, consult documentation, escalate issues… etc

    The successful applicants will  

    • Must have a one year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Work experience in customer support

    • Forklift licence desirable

    • Current drivers license an advantage

    • Telehandler Gold Card an advantage.

    MANITOU CENTER SYDNEY: Field Service Mechanic/Technician - SERVICE

     

    Position Overview

    The Field Service Technician’s main role will be to undertake repairs and maintain equipment such as Telescopic Handlers, Elevating Work Platforms, Rough Terrain/Industrial Forklifts  & Skid/Track/Articulated Loaders whilst in the Field.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Effectively complete preventative maintenance & repairs to OEM standards
    • Ensure on site safety principles and standards are adhered to at all times
    •  Must be able to carry out diagnostic analysis, mechanical and technical repairs as directed on all variations of mobile equipment.

    MANITOU AUSTRALIA: Technical Trainer & Services - SERVICE

     

    Position Overview

     Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, Manitou Australia subsidiary with cross-functional reporting to the Academy Manager of Technical Communication and Training in the Service and Solution Division of the Manitou Group. The Technical Trainer is responsible for adapting the technical training material and programs provided by the Manitou Group Training Centre and then delivering these to the delegates in the appropriate format with additional follow up as required.

     The Technical Trainer must show great versatility by combining mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and diagnostic knowledge along with other skills but always maintaining a good relationship with the learners.

     The Technical Trainer will be a member of the academy of technical trainers world of Manitou Group and thus will be able to propose development, updates and the validation of the course material in connection with the technical training. In the Academy context, the trainer may also participate in the design of training content with the referent trainer(s).

     In addition, this job role will provide support in daily tasks including but not limited; to providing technical support, warranty process, etc.

    It is expected approximately 80-90% of time will be spent on Technical Trainer function(s) and 10-20% of time will be spent on technical support, warranty process, etc.

     

    Main Responsibilities

     

      • Using the official Manitou group training materials, adapt & deliver high  quality technical training programs to our dealer network, our customers  and our internal staff in order to significantly improve the technical  knowledge of the learners. 

      • Be the primary source for Technical training in the area managed by the  subsidiary, adapting, updating and improving the existing group technical  training programs to the region market, and as well as proposing new  training material for all products offered by Manitou.

      • Create a training program for the Manitou network based on the  programs provided by Manitou Group.

      • Follows the standards of the Manitou Group technical training created in  the training centre and ensure quality training courses are provided and  communicated to dealers learners. 

      • Assist in the development of the policy and procedures, as well as in the  development of the annual planning of technical training for the subsidiary  Manitou Australia, which encourages external customers to attend training  events on a regular basis. 
      • Using available company resources, stay up to date with all technical  issues by product to ensure that all service training addresses these  specific issues. 
      • Being a member of the Manitou Academy of Technical Trainers, fully  supports the group service training requirements also in case of training  courses lead out of Manitou Australia perimeter. 
      • Implement and manage the administrative follow-up related to the various  tools of the technical training (administrative management of the LMS  tool: MANITOU Group University) 
      • Define and communicate the performance indicators and any other  reporting requirements. 
      • Participate in the development of annual training budgets for Manitou  Australia.  
      • Control the quality of translations of training offers or/and programs for  training and training content. 
      • With the help of the French team, translates the digital content so that it  can be understood by learners in the region. 

      Related services: 

      • To welcome and depart all training course attendees in a professional  manner and to communicate the Manitou culture, in order to keep them  loyal to the brand and to encourage the desire to return to the Manitou  Training session. 
      • Work alongside marketing to proactively market the training programs and  specific training events through the dealer portal, email and other sources. ● Stay abreast of manufacturing and assembly issues that may contribute  to product quality, reliability, or function. 

    Key Skills Required

    • At least three years of experience as a Technical Service Advisor or  equivalent 
    • A strong technical background with mechanical, hydraulic, electrical /  electronic knowledge and skills.  
    • Strong knowledge and skills in the use of IT tools 
    • Experience in a training environment and as a technical trainer/instructor.
    •  Ability to provide online (VTR) and Face to face (FtoF) training courses
    • Be comfortable with new technologies, teaching methods and familiarity  with adult training techniques. 
    • Experience delivering and developing technical training programs.
    • Knowledge in the capital equipment market, specifically at machinery with  hydraulic, electrical and power systems. 
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
    • Ability to share / transmit skills & knowledge  
    • Ability to exchange / communicate internally / externally with the means  of communication available. 
    • A motivated self-starter, proactive and focused on personal and business  improvement. 
    • Ability to multitask and maintain a high level of accuracy. 
    • Ability to work autonomously  
    • Ability to provide technical support and information, and process warranty  claims  
    • Ability to manage the transversal topics in relation with Services & Solution  division 
    • Languages: Fluent in English. French a nice to have

    Location and travel

     This is an office based role located in Manitou Australia, Sydney. Travel  may be required within Australia, to New Zealand and possibly  Europe/US.
